SCOPE Productions has the pleasure of announcing that Wilco will return to the IMU Main Lounge on October 1st at 7:30 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM
Since Jeff Tweedy assembled Wilco more than a decade ago, the Chicago rockers have released seven studio albums, including Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (2002), Sky Blue Sky (2007), and this year’s release Wilco (the album). Wilco (the album) has been the band’s most successful album, debuting at #4 on the Billboard album chart and selling 99,000 copies within its first week.
Known for their fierce live performances, Wilco’s current lineup - Jeff Tweedy, bassist John Stirratt, drummer Glenn Kotche, keyboardist Mike Jorgensen, guitarist Nels Cline and multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone - have played hundreds of concerts since assembling in May of 2004. Their well known songs include: “Heavy Metal Drummer”, “California Stars”, “War on War”, and “Monday”.
Tickets go on sale August 28th at 10:00 AM at the University Box Office in the IMU where students can UBILL up to 8 tickets, and all Ticketmaster locations.
