Due to extreme weather conditions, SCOPE Productions is relocating the 2013 Homecoming Concert from the Pentacrest Lawn to the IMU Main Lounge on Friday, October 4. The concert will still begin at 8pm, featuring Third Eye Blind with opening act Basic Vacation. The event is still free and open to the public.

SCOPE Productions is pleased to announce that Third Eye Blind and Basic Vacation will be co-headlinging the 2013 University of Iowa Homecoming concert. 

The renowned 90’s pop-rock band from San Francisco, Third Eye Blind. Having produced an array of best-selling records, of which include the hits “Jumper” and “Semi-Charmed Life”, Third Eye Blind continues to invoke elation in every show. Attendees can expect an upbeat, entertaining, and nostalgic performance from these talented and respected musical muses, and people of Iowa will not want to miss this opportunity to experience a performance on a stage immersed in the center of the University’s campus and unique Homecoming atmosphere.

With music influenced by Tears for Fears, Basic Vacation is ready to bring their feverish energy to the University of Iowa. Performing relatable lyrics partnered with raw enthusiasm and a guitar-heavy ambiance, Chris Greatti, Jon Paul, and Mike Montalbano are guaranteed to convert bystanders into fans with a simple fifteen-second sample of hits like “I Believe”. The band has recently performed with fellow up-and-coming indie rockers, New Politics and 21 Pilots, and soon the renowned Third Eye Blind. The entirety of the Iowa City community will not want to miss this performance from such a promising act.
