SCOPE Productions is thrilled to announce Motion City Soundtrack will perform a FREE show in the Iowa Memorial Union Main Lounge on Friday, April 24th at 8:00 PM as a part of the University's annual Riverfest celebration.

Motion City Soundtrack, a power-pop band that calls Minneapolis, Minnesota home, certainly crafted the hook-driven soundtrack to many adolescent lives. The quintet played its hits, such as "Everything is Alright," "The Future Freaks Me Out," and "This is for Real," with fellow punk bands Fall Out Boy and The All-American Rejects, as well as having performed on the Warped Tour numerous times and on the Honda Civic Tour with Panic at the Disco last spring.

The group released three full-length albums, with the first, I Am the Movie, helping them break onto the scene in 2003. Commit This to Memory followed in 2005 to much critical praise. Success continued with the band's latest album, Even If It Kills Me.

This will be the 31st annual Riverfest at the University of Iowa and will take place on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th. Riverfest is a free music and art festival for the entire community to enjoy.
