SCOPE Productions and the 10,000 Hours Show are proud to announce that Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will perform in the IMU Main Lounge on April 26th. Nashville singer, Rayland Baxter, will be performing as support for this show.

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals offer an electrifying rock sound that combines elements of soul and country. With performances at festivals like Bonnaroo, Kanrocksas, and Iowa’s own 80-35, the band knows how to energize a huge crowd with their edgy, sultry, and always infectious stage presence.

The group found their experimental, genre-transcending sound through their 2010 self-titled album, which yielded fiery singles like “Paris (Ooh La La)” and “Tiny Light.” 2012 promises the release of the highly-anticipated LP, “The Lion The Beast The Beat,” which will feature a few tracks co-written by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. Coachella and a national tour with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are also on the bill for the band’s 2012 schedule.

In their recordings and live performances, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals transcend the art of mere storytelling and earnestly work to convey raw emotion through their tunes, making this show a must-see.
