The musical duo, Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken formed Big Gigantic in Boulder, Colorado in 2008. Blending electronic beats and jazz, the two birthed a unique sound that became instantly popular among dance and house music fans after the debut of their first album, Fire It Up. They have since been touring all over the country and creating a lot of hype in the music festival. They headlined alongside Kaskade and Bassnectar at Summer Set Music Festival in 2014 for the second year in a row. Iowa City fans have adored Big Gigantic for years and there is no doubt that there will be wild excitement as they return for their Touch The Sky Tour in light of their new album, The Night Is Young.
Cherub’s Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber created their first album, Mom & Dad, in 2012. Cherub’s unconventional lyrics and 80’s instrumentals have formed a unique sound that is always fun to listen to.
This pairing of artists will be one of the best combinations the IMU Main Lounge has held in years and it will definitely be a fun and memorable night for everyone who attends.
