SCOPE Productions is pleased to announce that Kids These Days will play at The Mill on Friday, February 24th 2012. Doors will open at 8:00 PM.
Up-and-coming Chicago-based band, Kids These Days, has a sound that transcends genres in a fresh and exciting way. Combining elements of rap, classic rock, blues, hip-hop, and jazz, Kids These Days partners powerful female vocals, vibrant horns, and unrelenting groove with a compelling rap sound.
KTD's first project "Hard Times", which features five original songs, is currently available on iTunes for download, and the band is set to release an LP “Trap House Rock," produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, in the coming months. Kids These Days has had an active presence on the road making a splash at a number of leading festivals, including South by Southwest in Austin, Summerfest in Milwaukee, and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Tickets for this show go on sale at 10:00 am on Friday, December 9 and can be purchased at University of Iowa Box Office, located in the IMU. UI students with current ID’s can UBILL tickets at the University Box Office and a limited number of Student Price tickets will be available.
