The Deep Cuts

All of these songs are from my favorite era in music- the 60s/70s. Turn this playlist on if you like blues, rock, funk, jam bands, or anything else in that vein. Make sure you shuffle it so you don't hear all my favorites from the Beatles' White Album at once (unless you want to). This playlist is not representative of my entire music taste, but I wanted to go all in on one specific time period so it didn't get too long (even though it still is). Thx for listening. I hope you like it!!!

Three Favorite Albums

Cornell 5/8/77 (Live) by Grateful Dead

Ooh La La by Faces

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin

Favorite Concert Experience

My favorite concert was when I saw Dead & Company in Boulder on 7/3/23. My family and I had already caught them earlier that summer in St. Louis, but they hadn’t played my favorite song (Althea). Determined to hear it, my dad and I studied the band’s setlists and decided night three of Boulder was our best bet. It was the coolest concert ever. There was a thunderstorm delay, the Dave Matthews Band was a surprise guest, and— most importantly— they played Althea!

Hobbies / Interests / Fun Facts / Campus Involvement

I love hiking, crocheting, and reading. My favorite hike is to Chasm Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, my favorite thing I’ve crocheted is a striped hat, and my favorite book is The Color Purple by Alice Walker. I was a member of the Hawkeye Marching Band for two years, and I still love playing my tenor sax. I work at Bluebird Diner but frequently leave for seasonal work jobs in Colorado or Wyoming. Happy trails!
