KRUI and Scope Productions had the pleasure of hosting Midwest-raised, Los Angeles-based artist urika’s bedroom at Gabe’s on February 25th, just before they join Perfume Genius on tour. The night was an immersive journey listening to their fusion of shoegaze, early ‘90s emo, and electronica (Teen Vogue). Big Smile, Black Mire—the band’s most recent album—offers a surreal and dreamlike experience to listeners, and we were incredibly lucky to witness it live!
